Job Description:

We are seeking a Repair Jeweler/Generalist to join our team. As a Repair Jeweler, you will be responsible for assessing, repairing, and restoring a variety of jewelry pieces to their original condition. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, excellent craftsmanship, and a passion for working with precious metals and gemstones as well as clients.  We are open to full or part time hours.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients and inspect jewelry items to identify repair needs.
  • Provide estimates for repair costs and timelines to customers.
  • Perform repairs and restoration work using appropriate tools and techniques, including soldering, stone setting, and polishing.
  • Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and preferences. 
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a jeweler, with a focus on repair and restoration work is preferred but not mandatory.  Will accept art portfolios and school experience as well.
  • Knowledge of different types of metals and gemstones.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to think on the fly and willingness to help with administrative tasks when needed.
  • Willingness to learn and tolerance to being interrupted while working.
